Vikas P. Sukhatme MD ScD is the Victor J. Aresty Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and Chief Academic Officer and Harvard Faculty Dean for Academic Programs at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston. He is also chief of the Division of Interdisciplinary Medicine and Biotechnology in the Department of Medicine at BIDMC and a member of both the nephrology and hematology-oncology divisions in that department.
Linda Vahdat, MD MBA is a Professor of Medicine and Director of the Breast Cancer Research Program at Weill Cornell Medical College, leading research teams within the Division of Medical Oncology and the Meyer Cancer Center. She has been Cornell faculty since July 2002 and for 3. 5 years until Jan 2015 also was Chief of the Solid Tumor Service. She is a breast cancer expert with a focused clinical and research interest in high-risk adjuvant and metastatic breast cancer.
Dr. Eric Schadt recently joined Mount Sinai Medical School as Chairman and Professor, Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences and as Director, Institute of Genomics and Multiscale Biology. Previously, Dr. Schadt had joined Pacific Biosciences as Chief Scientific Officer in June 2009 to oversee the scientific strategy for the company, including creating the vision for next-generation sequencing applications of the company's technology. Dr. Schadt is also a founding member of Sage Bionetworks, an open access genomics initiative designed to build and support databases and an accessible platform for creating innovative, dynamic models of disease.
Dr. Brian Berman serves as BERG's Senior Advisor of Dermatology and Discovery Sciences. Dr. Berman is Voluntary Professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami Miller School Of Medicine and has the honor of serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Stanley Tucci serves as BERG’s Senior Advisor of Patient Advocacy and Social Awareness. Tucci lost his wife of 14 years to breast cancer. In her battle with cancer he experienced firsthand the frustrations of cancer treatment as an advocate for his wife. Tucci believes it is possible to find less toxic and more effective treatments for cancer. He is a strong advocate for informing patients about their own biology as well as presenting patients with all of their options for treatment. Stanley serves to keep BERG focused on the patient and to stay true to our mission.
